Welcome

This website was established in FY2023 with the Kanazawa University Archives at its core, supported by the Innovate MUSEUM project of the Agency for Cultural Affairs. The site received another grant from the same project in FY2024, and we are now able to provide even richer content.

Our goal is to establish a network of regional museums in and around Kanazawa City to make Ishikawa's rich tourism and cultural resources more accessible and efficient.

We have realized visualization of the many valuable collections that each museum boasts, which can be easily searched and viewed through smartphones. We hope that this digital museum creates an opportunity for both residents and visitors to Ishikawa Prefecture to experience the diverse culture of the prefecture.

In FY2024, we established partnerships with three municipalities in the Noto region (Nanao City, Nakanoto Town and Hodatsushimizu Town). We are also working on a digital archive of cultural properties damaged by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, using 3D models and other means to record and publicize the damaged cultural properties. We hope that this will help pass on the valuable cultural resources of the Noto region to future generations.

We hope that you will discover the diverse cultural resources of the region through this digital museum. New discoveries and emotions are surely awaiting you.
