The Kanazawa University Medical School Old Library is a three-story reinforced concrete building completed in 1926. It was built during the time of Kanazawa Medical University and was originally constructed as a storage facility for the university's attached library, connected to the reading room via a corridor. Currently, a separate medical library has been built, transferring the functions of book reading and storage there, while only the storage section remains as a repository for educational materials related to medical education. The building measures 15.56 meters along the northeast-southwest axis and 9.15 meters along the northwest-southeast axis, presenting a rectangular shape. The exterior is characterized by a simple geometric decoration based on a rectangular form, reflecting influences from the Secession and German Expressionism. The interior is also simple, but features custom-built bookshelves on each floor and a book elevator (manufactured in 1926) that operates from the first to the third floor, all of which contribute to its historical and cultural value. It can be said that this building tells the story of the modernization of medicine in Takara-machi and, by extension, the history of medicine at Kanazawa University.

Established in 1989 to preserve and utilize valuable materials handed down from the predecessor school when the university campus was relocated from Kanazawa Castle Site. Former teaching materials such as beautifully shaped physics experiment apparatus and mushroom moulage specimens that allow you to observe mushrooms as they were 100 years ago are fun-to-see natural museum materials in the museum's collection. The museum also holds many archive such as timetables that show the hard work of medical students 100 years ago, as well as archaeological materials excavated within the campus.
